CorStone Community Programs
CorStone works in the US and overseas with families, schools, groups and communities struggling with endemic conflict or crisis.
In the US we are working with K-12 schools to help teachers, administrators, students and parents to gain skills and tools that enable them to ameliorate current conflict as well as better deal with future challenges and adversity in a peaceful and positive manner.
Overseas, in countries with deep poverty and inadequate resources – where child labor, abuse, abandonment and conflict are widespread threats – CorStone seeks to help build low-cost, sustainable community-based systems of mental health care support. Our emotional resilience and trained facilitator models can support local residents to ameliorate the serious effects of trauma, strengthen families and build healthier and more peaceful communities.
Children and Youth Resiliency Program
Our Children and Youth Resiliency Program in schools aims to provide students (ages12-18) with knowledge and skills that enhance their resilience to psychological disorders, build self-esteem, reduce stress-related health problems, improve social functioning and strengthen their ability to deal with conflict.Read more +
