Frequently Asked Questions
How Does CorStone Develop or Support Emotional Resilience?
CorStone helps to foster emotional resilience in children and families through a variety of programs and initiatives.
Challenge, conflict and crisis are inevitable in life. In our view, what matters most are the attitudes, beliefs and values we adopt, the decision-making and communication skills we utilize, and the ability to make healthful, positive choices when such challenges arise.
Our goal is to support people with the tools, techniques and skills they need to help themselves deal with any challenge or crisis they may be facing in a conscious, positive and non-violent manner.
In particular, children often are not taught these skills -- or helped to find these skills within themselves -- in a systematic and sustainable way. In response, CorStone offers a comprehensive range of training and support services to children and families to develop and reinforce resiliency.
