CorStone is a nonprofit organization based in Sausalito, CA, working to develop and support emotional resilience in children and families so they can better deal with conflict and crisis.
Since its inception, the organization has provided trainings and workshops in over 50 countries to thousands of adults and children facing life-threatening illness, conflict and adversity.
Formerly known as the International Center for Attitudinal Healing, the organization was founded in 1975 by Gerald Jampolsky, M.D., renowned psychiatrist and author. Shortly thereafter he was joined by Diane Cirincione, Ph.D. and together they continue to be involved in CorStone’s outreach programs.
Dr. Jampolsky is the recipient of numerous international awards including the prestigious Excellence in Medicine – Pride in the Profession Award by the American Medical Association for his contribution of Attitudinal Healing to the field of global health as well as his lifetime work as a humanitarian and role model for other physicians.
