Volunteering

Volunteers are vital to our mission. Our volunteers help CorStone reach and support the greatest number of people in the most economical way.

Volunteering has been at the heart of CorStone’s work since its founding. With extensive training available through our workshops, volunteers make excellent facilitators of peer-based support groups. They also help greet visitors at our reception desk and assist with a variety of administrative tasks.

Volunteers consistently report that they receive more from the experience than they give. That is why CorStone has hundreds of volunteers who have remained active with us for decades.

“Going through Volunteer Training to become a facilitator was the best thing I ever did. Ten years into it I can truly say I get as much as I give – if not more – out of each group.” -- Billy L., Facilitator, Children & Youth Program
