CorStone Announces Expansion of Health, Wellness, Better Living Programs in 2010
Expanded Individual Counseling, Peer Groups, Workshops and Trainings Provides Affordable Bay Area Mental Health Services To Those in NeedSausalito (January 26, 2010 )
Marin non-profit, CorStone, is proud to announce a wide and growing range of services, designed specifically for adults, children or families dealing with major life transitions, economic difficulties, life-threatening illness, divorce, grief and loss, or conflict. CorStone offers individual, couples and family counseling, peer support groups, life coaching, trainings and workshops that are designed to provide the community with groundbreaking, evidence-based support models that guide participants toward greater emotional resiliency.
“CorStone is known in our community as an excellent resource for those on the path toward greater understanding and growth -- whether that’s about improving your own resiliency and inner strength, dealing with grief or tough financial times, or aspirations of improving the relationships in your life,” said Steve Leventhal, Executive Director. “CorStone is a truly unique community resource based right here in Sausalito -- offering a multitude of weekly workshops, one day seminars, and even year long intensives.”
CorStone’s classes and workshops provide simple tools and techniques in an environment of listening, acceptance and empowerment. CorStone’s goal is to enable and support adults, children and families to take the actions they need to care for themselves while dealing with life challenges in a healthy, productive and peaceful manner. CorStone has also greatly expanded its individual and family counseling programs with a strong roster of clinically supervised therapist interns available for counseling on a wide range of issues. All counseling, workshop and training programs are fee-based with a sliding scale to accommodate everyone seeking to improve their circumstances. CorStone also offers a wide range of trainings for educators, therapists and medical professionals seeking continuing education credits.
